Capturing the Streets

My name is Judhajit...Obviously by now I think you've guessed out that I am a Photography zealot..Ya..ur right...I love Photography..I am a fan of the streets...I was first moved by the street genre I think in 2008 when I came across some of the photography of the likes of William Klein, Josef Koudelka, Bruce Davidson and Raymond Depardon..There is something about capturing the streets..I can connect to it...all that adrenaline in a local market, all that rush in a railway platform, all that commotion in a school gate, all that pale dubious faces in a slum, all that vibe in a temple...there's something about capturing them in 35mm...its like you take a part of the life and putting it in your photo.

When I am photographing I see Life..everywhere..every bit of it..A street photographer's album is a testament of his impatient and inquisitive vision..Streets are a luminous landscape when you put your eye in the viewfinder..

Like the proverbial million monkeys at their typewriters..random shooting can produce if not a Shakespearean sonnet then possibly a half-way interesting photograph...But what will it say??
For a street photograph to be intriguing I think that something has to speak meaningful to the photographer even if its not immediately apparent.

"Street photography is story-telling in a single frame..."

Each and every photo tells stories...you just have to read them and match it with your own..because you,my friend, are also a part of this timeworn terrestrial crusade we call life..

Below are some of my recently taken photographs...
